Additional Features for Eterm for Windows
In addition to the configuration menu, Eterm contains menu options for the following additional
features.
Connect
Click Connect to open a connection with the host system using the current configuration
settings.
Dial
Click Dial to open the Dial dialog box, where you can select a telephone number from either the
global or the local dialing directory.
Disconnect
Click Disconnect to close a connection with the host system using the current configuration
settings. Always remember to first log off Eclipse before disconnecting from Eterm.
Edit
Use the Eterm editing tools to select and copy text or screen elements to the Windows clipboard
or to paste the contents of the Windows clipboard into Eclipse word processing or view function
screens.
• Select – Click Select to begin selecting text or line drawing characters with the mouse
from Eclipse screens. First select the text or screen elements, and then click Copy.
• Extended select – Click Extended select to begin selecting text with the mouse from an
Eclipse word processing or view function screen. You can select entire screens, including
line drawing characters, but not dialog boxes. First select the text or screen elements, and
then click Copy.
• Copy – Click Copy to copy the currently selected text or screen elements to the
Windows clipboard.
• Paste – Click Paste to paste the contents of the Windows clipboard into an Eclipse word
processing field.
Print
Select Print to send a copy of the currently displayed screen to the printer, a file, or a debug file.

Use this feature to attach images to Eclipse screens. See the Eterm online help for details on this
feature.
