Printing
Opens the Configure Printing dialog box, where you can specify how Eterm processes the printer
data stream for Eclipse data and screen prints.
Dialing
Opens the Dialing Configuration dialog box, where you can configure Eterm dialing information.
Dialing profiles are intended for those users who use Eterm on portable computers while
traveling (where the dialing configuration will change from location to location) or for those
users who have computers with access to multiple modem systems, such as an internal modem
and access to a corporate modem pool.
See the Eterm online help system for details on this feature.
Helper Applications
Opens the Helper Applications dialog box, where you can specify the applications and
commands that Eclipse will send in the Helper field of a DDE start message.
Messaging
Opens the Configure Message Directory dialog box, where you can configure the folder that
Eterm uses to store information. Eterm scans the specified folder for files. When it finds a file in
this folder, it sends a message to the Eclipse system. This feature applies to certain Eclipse add-
on products, such as Imaging.
Display Options
Eterm contains some other display features:
Highlight – Causes Eterm to shade the currently active Eclipse input text box. This is
particularly useful on monochrome monitors and portable computers.
Always on top – Causes Eterm to always be visible, even when you run other programs.
This change is not saved in the ECLIPSE.INI file and must be set each time you run
Eterm.
Show User Defined Options – Causes Eterm to display the names of user-defined
options associated with the current screen whenever you press the Alt key. This is the
same as using Alt-F11 to show user-defined options. This feature is useful when first
becoming accustomed to the locations of the different user-defined screens attached to
screens in Eclipse. Afterwards, you can turn this feature off.
