Click Add Adapter... to open the Add Network Adapter dialog box and do one of
the following:
Click Detect to make Windows automatically detect your adapter. Windows steps
you through the process of finding the adapter and installing the necessary
drivers.
Select the appropriate adapter from the list and then click OK.
Windows returns you to the Network Drivers dialog box.
Click Add Protocol... to open the Add Protocol dialog box.
Select the Unlisted or Updated Protocol item in the list and click OK. Windows
displays the Install Driver dialog box and prompts for the location of the protocol.
Enter the location of the updated driver, or click Browse to navigate to the driver
location. When you install Eterm on your computer, the installation program
copies this file to: C:\ProgramF\Intuit Eclipse\Eterm.
Select the Microsoft TCP/IP-32 3.11b protocol from the list of protocols that
Windows displays, and click OK to return to the Network Setup dialog box.
In the Network Setup dialog box, first select the Microsoft TCP/IP-32 3.11b
protocol and click Set as Default. This moves the protocol to the top of the list of
available protocols for the network adapter.
Select Microsoft TCP/IP-32 3.11b again and click Setup to open the Microsoft
TCP/IP Configuration dialog box, and then do the following:
Type in the IP Address unique for your PC in the IP Address field.
Type in the appropriate subnet for your company in the Subnet Mask field. In
most cases, this will be 255.255.255.0.
Click the OK button to close the Microsoft TCP/IP Configuration dialog box.
5. Click Cancel to close the Network Drivers dialog box and OK to close Network Setup
dialog box.
Windows displays the Network Names dialog box prompts you to enter network names
for your system.
6. Enter the necessary information in the User Name, Workgroup, and Computer
Description fields and then click OK to close the dialog box.
Windows indicates that it has made changes to your system. Click OK at the prompt to
acknowledge the changes. Windows then prompts you to restart your computer to
complete the changes.
