Command Description and Example
lspv
Displays all available physical volumes their assigned volume group.
Example:
root:/# lspv
hdisk0 0002906f76154417 rootvg
hdisk1 0002906fd8f48aba rootvg
hdisk2 0002906fd902a2c7 datavg
hdisk3 0002906fd902ad28 datavg
hdisk4 0002906fd902ae58 datavg

lsvg
Displays all volume groups.
Example:
root:/# lsvg
rootvg
datavg
lsvg vgname
Displays detail of vgname.
Example:
root:/# lsvg rootvg

VG STATE: active PP SIZE: 16 megabyte(s)

bootinfo –r
Displays amount of real memory. Divide the displayed number by 1024
to express the memory in gigabytes.
Example:
root:/# bootinfo -r
1048576 (divided by 1024 = 1024 MB or 1GB)
lsps –a
Displays where the page space resides, size, active or not etc.
Example:
root:/# lsps -a
Page Space PhysVol Volume Grp Size %Used Active Auto Type
hd6 hdisk0 rootvg 1024MB 4 yes yes lv
lsps –s
Displays percent of page space currently used.
Example:
root:/# lsps -s
Total Paging Space Percent Used
1024MB 4%
tail /u2/powerchute/
powerchute.log
Displays the last 10 lines of the PowerChute log file.
