Restoring the ESI Pocket Print Server to Factory Defaults
In most cases, the best way to restore the Pocket Print Server to factory defaults is by using
Telnet. However, if you are unable to connect to the device because of a configuration error, use
the following method, which does not require a network connection.
To restore the ESI Pocket Print Server to factory defaults without a network connection:
1. Disconnect the Pocket Print Server from the network connection and from the printer.
2. Cycle the power on the unit. When it powers up, the red LED will rapidly blink for five
seconds.
3. Cycle the power on the Pocket Print Server four more times while it is rapidly blinking
red.
4. Reconnect the network cable and power up the Pocket Print Server.
The light rapidly blinks green—indicating that it has restored itself to factory defaults—
as it searches for a RARP or BOOTP server to find its IP address.
