7. At the system prompt (#), enter the following command:
ping XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX (where XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX is the printer IP address)
If you get a response, the printer is on the network. Press Ctrl-Break to stop the ping
command and skip to step 8.
If you do not get a response, press Ctrl-Break and return to the system prompt (#).
Check the physical connection between the ESI device, the network hub, and the
printer, then repeat step 7.
If the ESI device is still not responding, check to see if there is a green light on
the back of the ESI device.
If the light is green, most likely the ESI device needs to be reset. If this is the
case, repeat this process beginning at step 5. If this fails a second time, complete
the steps for "Restoring the ESI Pocket Print Server to Factory Defaults" and then
repeat these steps again beginning at step 5 to configure your ESI device.
If the light is red, the ESI device is not sensing a proper network connection.
Check the physical connections between the ESI device, printer and network hub
(replacing cables or connections as necessary), then repeat step 7.
If the ESI device is still not responding, call Intuit Eclipse Support.
8. Telnet into the ESI device, following the instructions below, or follow the instructions for
