4. In the Printer Type field, press F10 and select from the displayed list the printer type
that most resembles your printer.
Most HP LaserJet printers use a printer type prefixed with HPLJ, while most dot matrix
printers use either the PRINTRONIX or GENERIC printer type. Zebra label printers use
ZEBRA or GENERIC.
5. Leave the Printer/Fax field set to the default Printer.
6. In the Description field, enter a description of the printer.
7. In the Macro Enabled (Y/N) field, indicate whether to enable macro logic for this
printer.
8. Assign loadable forms to the printer, as follows:
Use the Loadable Forms hot key to display the Loadable Forms screen, which lists
the forms loaded for your printer. This screen is empty for new printers.
For each form to assign, position the cursor on a blank line, press F10 to display the
defined forms, and select one. For example, select PLAIN for reports.
Press Esc to save your changes.
Note: To cancel your changes at any point, press F12.
9. Press Esc until you return to the System menu.
To add the printer to printer locations:
1. From the System > System Files > Printer Setup menu, select Printer Location
Maintenance to display the Printer Location Maintenance screen.
2. In the Printer Location field, type new if you are creating a new printer location or press
F10 and select the printer location to which you want to add the new printer.
3. In the Ship Ticket Branch field, do one of the following:
Enter a branch if you want the terminals logged on to the displayed printer location to
always print ship tickets at that branch.
Leave this field blank so the system will use the normal branch selection logic to
determine where a ship ticket will be printed.
4. In the Physical Branch field, enter the branch where this printer location resides.
5. In the Printer # column, position the cursor on a blank line, press F10, and select the
printer you want to add.
6. Press Esc to save your changes.
7. Repeat steps 2-6, as needed.
8. Press Esc until you return to the System menu.
