Chapter 6 – Reset Utility
The Reset Utility allows you to reset a single modem or all the modems.
Prerequisite: The ISI drivers must be installed before the Reset Utility can function.
Using the Windows Port Reset Utility
Note: Any other utility accessing the first com port needs to be closed before you can access the first com
port in the Reset Utility.
1. Go to http://www.multitech.com/setup/product.go and select your model from the Product drop down list.
2. Click Software.
3. Click the Reset Utility link, ISIPortModemReset.exe.
4. Save the file to a TEMP directory.
5. Disable any application using the ISI modem for communication.
6. Run ISIPortModemReset.exe.
The ISI Port Modem Reset utility opens. By default, the COM Ports drop down list shows just the COM ports
on the ISI card. If you want to display all the COM ports in the drop down list, click Display All Ports.

Select the first COM port listed on the ISI Card displays the COM ports drop down list, for example, COM3.
8. Click the Modem# button for the modem that you want to reset. The following message displays if the
modem is successfully reset.
