GENERATOR MAINTENANCE, INSPECTION AND REPAIR SERVICES
I.
INTRODUCTION
This is a Master Agreement in which the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials,
non-consumable supplies, transportation, including travel and per diem, equipment, and
every other item of expense necessary to perform emergency generator maintenance,
inspection and repair, and load bank testing services for the California Department of
Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), institutions specified in Exhibit E, List of
Participating Institution.
The Contractor shall perform all services required under this Agreement on CDCR
premises except in those cases of mutual agreement as specified herein.
The Contractor shall provide all maintenance necessary to maintain the optimum level of
efficiency. The Contractor’s maintenance service shall be performed during normal
business hours 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or at a date and time
mutually agreed upon between the Contractor and the Institution Contract Liaison,
excluding State holidays. The State may, at its discretion, allow access to the equipment
during non-business hours when necessary.
The CDCR assumes no responsibility for any work commenced by the Contractor
and will not reimburse the Contractor for any work performed prior to approval
and scheduling by the Institution Contract Liaison or designee.
The Contractor shall report to the Institution Contract Liaison or designee upon
arrival on the CDCR grounds. Upon completion of maintenance, inspection or
repairs, the Contractor shall return to the Institution Contract Liaison or designee
the Exhibit A-2, Service Report for signature. Invoices shall only be paid if
accompanied by Exhibit A-2, Service Report approved by either the Institution
Contract Liaison or designee.
The CDCR reserves the right to add like equipment similar to the equipment list
established at the commencement of this Agreement and delete equipment that has
become obsolete or is taken out of service. Additional equipment will be serviced at the
unit rates specified in Exhibit B-1, Rate Sheet. The Contractor shall be notified in writing
by the Institution Contract Liaison or designee when equipment has been added or
removed and through an amendment.
