Jacket Water Heater and Internal Battery Charger
120 VAC Input Plugs (OPTIONAL)
This generator is equipped with two 120 VAC, 20 amp input
plugs located on the output terminal panel.
The purpose of these plugs is to provide power via
commercial power to the
jacket water heate
r and
internal
battery charger
.
These plugs will ONLY function when commercial power has
been supplied to them (Figure 64). To apply commercial power
to these plugs, a power cord of adequate size will be required
(See Table 5).
When using the generator in
hot
climates there is no reason
to apply power to jacket water heater. However, if the
generator will be used in
cold
climates it is always a good
idea to apply power to the jacket water heater at all times. To
apply power to the jacket water heater, simply apply power
to the
jacket water heater plug
via commercial power using
an power cord of adequate size.
If the generator will be used daily, the battery should normally
not require charging. If the generator will be idle (not used)
for long periods of time, apply power to the
battery charger
plug
via commercial power using an power cord of adequate
size.
To ensure adequate starting
capability, always have power
applied to the generator's
internal battery charger
.
