20.6.6. Retro-fitting switches K and / or P
Two-position or three-position switches can be retro-
fitted at positions K and P at any time:
If you wish to install switches in both positions, please
note that the following combinations are possible:
2 x 2-position
1 x 2-position and 1 x 3-position
NOTE: it is not possible to install two three-
position switches.
To accomplish this you must remove the appropriate
corner unit from the transmitter:
a.) Use the T6 TORX screw-
driver (located in clips in the
transmitter back panel) to
undo the four TORX screws
holding the appropriate corner
unit.
b.) Set the switches to centre,
then carefully withdraw the
corner unit from the trans-
mitter. When you remove the
unit, the rotary knob fitted to
the 3-D digi-adjuster on that
side will come loose.
c.) The switch is fitted in the
corner unit and held in place
by the retaining nut supplied.
Keep the wiring the correct
way round: yellow wire facing
the transmitter battery.
d.) Use a small screwdriver to
press the blind cover out of
the front case panel from the
inside.
e.) Re-install the corner unit,
fit the retaining screws, and
push the knob back onto the
shaft of the 3-D digi-adjuster
(note the correct knob posi-
tion: internal shoulder). Insert
the connector directly into the
micro socket located on the
corner unit (illustration shows
switch K).
a. Two-position switch
The two-position switches with the Order No. # 7 5748
can be installed in the wells P and / or K. Once in-
stalled, they must be connected to the appropriate
sockets on the left or right corner unit:

The switches can be used directly as controls P and /
or
K in the menus ¡Assignment, Switches and
¡Assignment, Controls. No software assignment
is required for the
Extra Sw..
b. Three-position switch
If you install a three-position switch in position P or K,
you must connect it to the terminal clamp on the main
circuit board (ABC Î Fig. in 20.6.5.d.). For this rea-
son the wires attached to this switch have bare wire
ends (Order No. # 7 5749).
This switch must also be assigned as
K>, <P or KSw
before it is used. This procedure is carried out in the
menu
¡Assignment, Switches under Extra Sw..
