18. Main menu Timer A
The main menu Timer is opened by pressing this but-
ton:
A
The ROYAL
pro
has five timers; four of them are
found in the main menu
¥ Timer:
¥Timer

|Slot ....
´Sum ....
¶Interval ....
The fifth timer records the transmitter’s operating time,
and is only displayed in Status display 4 (Î 10.6.4.).
18.1. Slot, Sum and Interval timers:
display and reset
The timers Slot, Sum and Interval are shown in
Status display 3, but only if a switch has been as-
signed to them:
In this example no switches have been assigned to the Sum
and Interval timers.
This Status display includes the direction of counting
and the assigned switch as well as the current timer
status.
How to locate Status display 3:
If one of the other Status displays is already on-
screen, you can leaf through all four Status displays
using the Ÿ or ź buttons until you arrive at the Timer
summary. If you now call up a menu, repeatedly
pressing any main menu button takes you to a Status
display. From this point on you can leaf through the
other displays.
Resetting the timers:
Press the REV/CLR button, and all the timers will be
reset to the set alarm time.
How the timers behave when they are reset:
a.
Slot timer
This timer is reset to the set alarm, and always
stops when reset. To re-start the timer the as-
signed switch must first be moved to the OFF posi-
tion, and then back to the ON position.
b.
Sum timer
This timer is reset to the set alarm time. If the as-
signed switch is at the ON position, the timer re-
starts immediately.
c.
Interval timer
This timer is reset to the set alarm time. If the as-
signed switch is at the ON position, the timer re-
starts immediately.
18.2. Menu ¥Timer, Model
for flight time per season / session
This timer is present for each model memory. It runs
constantly when the transmitter is switched on, when
the corresponding model is selected, and when an RF
signal is being transmitted (Status LED flashes).
This means that periods of adjustment or program-
ming - when the RF module is switched off - are not
counted as part of the model’s operating time.
The menu for the Timer
Model looks like this:
¥Model
¨Exit
Time 0h00m
The maximum of 1000 hours enables the timer to re-
cord a model’s operating time over the whole season,
for one day’s flying, and also for one individual flight.

18.3. Menu ¥Timer, |Slot
The term “slot” refers to a time window (limited period)
which this timer can monitor.
Time slots are used in competitions such as F3B
events, when a particular flight task must be com-
pleted within a prescribed time (e.g. ten minutes). Slot
times also make sense at other types of contest or
event in order to control the progress of activities.
The special feature of this timer is that it starts the first
time you operate the assigned switch. It cannot
be
stopped again during the remainder of the slot time
(alarm).
Slot time elapsed:
If the slot time has elapsed and
the assigned switch is
still in the ON position, the timer continues to count
upward, acting like a sum timer.
