21.1.5. GLIDER model template
Suitable for:
Gliders with two wing flaps (ailerons only),
with electric power system, also with V-tail.
Typical models:
EasyGlider.

Tow release:
If your model features a tow release instead of a
power system, you can operate it using servo
4. The
following steps are necessary:
1. Assign transmitter controls
L,
Assignment, Controls, then select Tow rel..
Select transmitter control (e.g. button
M).
2. Assign servo
K ,
Assignment, select servo 4, change from
Throttle to Tow rel..
3. Adjust servo
The direction of rotation and end-points for servo
4
are set under K,
Calibrate.
Fine-tuning:
!
Steps a. and b. (Î 21.1.),
Check functions.
c. Ailerons raised as landing aid ...
... if your model has no airbrakes (servos
6 / 7):
G , select
AILERON+, set Spoiler input to 90%.
Adjust the correction input for
ELEVATR+ if neces-
sary.
d. Activate throttle to elevator mixer
G, select
ELEVATR+, select Thr -Tr input,
set
10% down-elevator.
If you wish to adjust the value in flight, allocate it to
one of the 3-D digi-adjusters (Î 20.1.).

ELEVATR+ Elevator
trv' = Control surface deflection
for down-elevator
trv# = Control surface deflec-
tion for up-elevator
Spoiler
Elevator trim correction for Spoiler
(airbrakes):
pt1 = Elevator compensation for
half-deployed spoilers
pt2 = Elevator compensation for
fully deployed spoilers
Flap
Elevator trim correction for Flap
(Flaperon):
trv' = Elevator com
p
ensation for
(e.g.) thermal setting
trv# = Elevator compensation for
(e.g.) speed setting
Thr -Tr
Elevator trim correction for throttle
(motor):
dead = Dead-zone / from which
point does elevator cor-
rection take effect?
trv = Elevator com
p
ensation for
full-throttle
AILERON+ Aileron
Setting for maximum aileron travel
when the Aileron transmitter con-
trol is operated:
trv = Symmetrical deflections
( equal aileron travels
up and down)
Aileron differential is set and ad-
justed in the mixer Ail.Diff.
Spoiler
When the Spoiler control is
operated, both ailerons move in the
same direction (e.g. up) to act as
landing aid:
offs = Offset value
trv = Aileron deflection at full
Spoiler travel
Flap
When the transmitter control Flap is
moved, both ailerons move up or
down together to alter the camber of
the wing section in order to opti-
mise the wing for thermal and speed
flying:
trv' = Aileron deflection, e.g. up
for speed flying
trv# = Aileron deflection, e.g.
down for thermal flying
Ele -Tr
When the elevator stick is operated,
both ailerons deflect up or down in
order to amplify the elevator effect
for aerobatics (“snap-flap mixer”):
trv' = Aileron deflection when
down-elevator is applied
trv# = Aileron deflection when
up-elevator is applied
This mixer can be switched off and
on at any time using the Snap-Flap
switch
