MAIN COLUMN ADJUSTMENT
Refer to figure 15. For measurements see Fitting Instructions.
Note: Never make any adjustments with the
child in the stander.
1. Measure from the middle of the knee block to the foot support plate
(Adj. 1). Raise or lower the footplate to the correct height
(measurement 3). Loosen the two inner allen screws on the footrest
mounting bracket (1). Slide the foot support along the main column.
Tighten the screws.
2. Measure from the foot support plate to the top of the trunk support
(Adj. 2). Adjust the trunk support to the correct height (measurement
2). Loosen the two trunk support adjustment levers (2). Slide the trunk
support along the upper column. If more height is required loosen the
column adjustment lever (3) and extend the upper column. Tighten all
adjustment levers (2,3).
3. Measure from the foot support plate to the top of the hip support (Adj.
3). Adjust the hip support to the correct height (measurement 1).
Loosen the two hip support adjustment levers (4). Slide the hip support
along the upper column. Tighten the adjustment levers.
4.
Hip and Trunk Support Width: (You may need to loosen the straps to
increase the width) Slightly loosen the adjustment levers (2,4) making
sure the height of the hip and trunk supports do not change. Slide the
bars to the appropriate width (measurements 4&5).
It is very
important to make sure that the outside of the bars are an equal
distance from the mid
-
line of the column. If they are not, the child
may not be weight bearing evenly.
Tighten the levers and velcro the
inside strap. The straps will be adjusted by the velcro later as part of
the fine tuning while the child is in the stander. Complete this
adjustment for both the upper and lower supports.
5.
Pitch: Remove the ball lock pin on the tilt mechanism (Adj. 4). Hold
the column assembly and step down on the peddle. Tilt the column to
the desired angle then release the peddle.
Replace the ball
lock pin.
