II. Growth Guidance System Car Seat
Note: The toddler size GGS with harness and carabineers is to be utilized as a car seat for
children weighing up to 50lbs. The GGS system was crash tested by the University of Michigan
(November 15, 1993) within these p
arameters.
1. Tether Strap: The Tether strap must be
used to properly secure the GGS as a
car seat. The strap must be secured to a
structurally sound integral metal part of
the vehicle. This attachment point should
be located directly behind the position
of
the GGS when in use. (Right)
2. Anchor Point: Chose a suitable anchor
point as described as a
bove. Drill a 1/4"
diameter hole at the selected position.
Assemble the anchor point as shown making
sure to use the large washer underneath the
anchor point surface. Make sure to tighten the
anchor bolt securely. (Left)
3. Lap/Shoulder Belt Attachment: F
asten
lap/shoulder belt across the vehicle seat
behind the GGS . The seat belt is
fastened to the chair through three
carabineer clips (c) as shown on the
diagram. (Right)
