Push and hold the gas spring
handle to the right, and relax your
legs so all your weight is on the
seat of the Gait Master . Your
body weight will push the seat
down * (Figures 44 & 47). When
the seat stops, release the gas
spring lever.

Grab the silver frame with your
non
-
dominant hand. Do not let go
until stated to do so! With your
dominant hand, release the thoracic
ring of that side (Figure 48).
With your dominant hand, reach
around to the back of the seat and
release the rear seat pad (Figure
49). It is ok if the seat pad comes
to rest on top of the chair you are
about to sit on.
