Oil filter replacement with the
engine running
1. To cut out the filter to be replaced, set the
three-way cock to the corresponding posi‐
tion.
• Position A: Lower filters cut out
• Position B: Both filters cut in (normal po‐
sition)
• Position C: Upper filters cut out.
2. Unscrew oil filter with oil filter wrench.
3. Clean sealing face on connecting piece.
4. Check condition of the new sealing ring and
coat it with oil.
5. Fit SOLAS shield (→ Page 19).
6. Screw on and tighten new engine oil filter
by hand.
7. Replace other oil filters in the same way.
8. Check oil level (→ Page 155).
