4.16 Emergency stop from LOP
CAUTION
An emergency stop causes extreme stress to the engine.
Risk of overheating, damage to components!
• Initiate emergency stop only in emergency situations.
Emergency stop from LOP
Item Action
LOP Open cap of EMERGENCY STOP button (→ Page 85).
LOP Press EMERGENCY STOP button.
• Engine is stopped by disconnecting the power supply to the ECU;
• On engines with emergency air-shutoff flaps: flaps close;
• EMERGENCY STOP button flashes, Horn, flashing lamp etc. are trip‐
ped.
After emergency stop from LOP
Item Action
LOP Press ALARM ACKNOWLEDGE button (→ Page 85).
• Audible and visual alarm signaling stops.
LOP Press ALARM ACKNOWLEDGE button again.
• Power supply to ECU is provided;
• Alarm has been acknowledged.
Engine On engines with emergency air-shutoff flaps: open flaps.
• Engine is ready for starting.
