6.18 Battery-Charging Generator
6.18.1 Battery-charging generator drive – Drive belt tension adjustment
Preconditions
☑ Engine is stopped and starting disabled.
WARNING
Spring/circlip/tensioning roller preload.
Risk of injury!
• Only use specified tool and equipment.
Adjusting belt tension
1. Remove protective cover.
2. Slacken screws (1) and (2) by half a turn.
Result: Belt tensioner moves against the drive belt
and tensions it.
3. Tighten screw (2) with torque wrench to the specified tightening torque.

Screw M10x1.5 Tightening torque 60 Nm +5 Nm
4. Tighten screw (1) with torque wrench to the specified tightening torque.

5. Install protective cover.
