6.14.1 Engine oil filter – Replacement
Preconditions
☑ Engine is stopped and starting disabled.

WARNING
Hot oil.
Oil can contain combustion residues which are harmful to health.
Risk of injury and poisoning!
• Wear protective clothing, gloves, and goggles / safety mask.
• Avoid contact with skin.
• Do not inhale oil vapor.
Engine oil filter – Replacement
1. Unscrew engine oil filter with filter wrench.
2. Clean sealing face on connecting piece.
3. Check sealing ring of new engine oil filter
and apply a thin layer of engine oil.
4. Screw on and tighten engine oil filter by
hand.
5. Replace other engine oil filters in the same
way.
6. Check engine oil level (→ Page 142).
7. After changing engine oil and replacing oil
filter(s), bar engine with starting equip‐
ment(→ Page 105).
