How to Install a Grip in a Load Frame 1. Adjust the load frame to allow adequate room to install the grips. 2. Make sure the load frame mounting adapter, mounting pin, and mounting dowel are clean. Remove any dust or particles that may scratch the mating surfaces. 3. Install the grip mounting pin into the load frame mounting adapter. 4. Align the holes of the mounting pin and the load frame mounting adapter and slide the mounting dowel into the hole. 5.
1. Adjust the load frame to allow adequate room to install the specimen into one grip. 2. Rotate the levers to open the rollers. 3. Insert the specimen between the rollers of one of the grips. 4. Rotate the lever to clamp the specimen. 5. Adjust the load frame to position the grips so that the specimen is between the rollers of the other grip. 6. Rotate the lever to clamp the specimen. Grip Maintenance Clean the grip assemblies to remove any dust or particles that may scratch the surfaces.
