Tension Test Overview
When performing a tension test, the specimen is held by the appropriate grip fixtures in the tension space,
which is the space between the upper crosshead and lower crosshead. The test signals the actuator to
move the upper crosshead and table upward, while the lower crosshead remains stationary. Tension load
is applied to the specimen, and the sensors measure the load applied, the displacement, and the specimen
extension. The controller transfers the data to the testing software, and the software provides the results
and reports per test configuration.
