Feature operation
The following example illustrates how a voice call can be made to a set with
MSB active:
In this example, Set A is a Meridian 1 proprietary telephone with a VCC key
programmed with the DN of a single appearance key on set B.
Set B is a Meridian 1 proprietary telephone with a single appearance DN key.
Set B has a Make Set Busy key which has been activated.
1 A goes off-hook, and receives dial tone.
2 A presses the VVC (Voice Call) key.
As VCC key lamp is lit and A receives ringback tone. B receives a two-
second burst of ring tone. Bs terminating DN key lamp flashes.
3 After two seconds:
Set A has a one-way voice path to set B. Bs DN key lamp is lit. Ring
tone to B stops. Ringback tone to A stops. Bs Make Set Busy lamp
remains lit.
4 If B goes off-hook, A and B are connected in a normal two-way
conversation.
