SECTION 9: OFF-SEASON STORAGE
Clean and lubricate the tractor as instructed in Section 7:
MAINTAINING YOUR LAWN TRACTOR on page 22 of this
manual before storing for an extended period.
WARNING: Drain fuel only into an
approved container outdoors, away from an
open flame. Allow engine to cool. Extinguish
cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and other sources of
ignition prior to draining fuel.
Follow the instructions in the Service, Storage &
Specifications section of the Briggs & Stratton
Operator/Owner Manual for proper engine care prior to
storing your tractor.
WARNING: Never store the machine or
fuel container indoors where there is an open
flame, spark or pilot light such as on water
heater, furnace, clothes dryer or other gas
appliance.

NOTE: Model 604 and 605 Lawn Tractors are NOT designed for use with any type of ground-engaging
attachments (e.g. tiller or plow). Use of this type of equipment WILL void the tractor’s warranty.
