Remove six self-tapping screws from the frame
cover underneath the snow thrower.
Roll the front and rear auger belts offthe engine
pulley. See Figure 23.
Unhook the idler spring from the hex bolt on the
auger housing. See Figure 24.
Unhook the support bracket spring from the frame.
NOTE: It may be necessary to loosen the six hex nuts
that fasten the frame to the auger housing to aid in belt
removal.

Liftthe rear auger belt from the auger pulley, and
slip belt between the support bracket and the auger
pulley. Repeat this step to remove the front auger
belt. See Figure 23.
Reassemble auger drive belt(s) by following
instructions in reverse order.

Follow first four steps of previous instructions.
Pull idler pulley up, and lift belt off engine pulley and
friction wheel disc. See Figure 23.

Using a wrench, loosen the nut on the stop bolt until
the support bracket rests on the auger pulley.
See Figure 25.
Slip belt between friction wheel and friction wheel
disc. Remove and replace belt. Reassemble in
reverse order.
NOTE: The support bracket must rest on the stop bolt
afterthe new belt has been assembled. See Figure 25.

Replace the friction wheel rubber ifany signs ofwear or
cracking are found. Follow instructionsbelow to replace
the rubber.
Tipthe snow thrower upand forward, so that it rests
on housing. Refer to Figure 16.
