Shift Cable
Ifthe full rangeof speeds(forwardandreverse)cannot
beachieved,referto thefigureto the leftandadjustthe
shiftcable asfollows:
1. Placethe shiftleverinthe fastest forwardspeed
position.
2. Loosenthe hex nuton the shiftcable indexbracket.
SeeFigure3.
3. Pivotthe bracketdownwardto takeupslack inthe
cable.
4. Retightenthe hex nut.
5. Checkfor correctadjustmentbeforeoperatingthe
snowthrower.

Chute Assembly
Thedistancesnowis throwncan beadjustedbychanging
the angleof the chuteassembly.To doso:
1. Stopthe engineby removingthe ignitionkeyand
loosenthe plasticwing knobfound onthe left sideof
the chuteassembly.
2. Pivotthe chuteupwardordownwardbeforeretighten-
ingthe wingknob.SeeFigure4.
Skid Shoes
Thespacebetweenthis shaveplateandthe groundcan
beadjusted.For closesnowremoval,placeskidshoesin
the lowposition.Usemiddleor highpositionwhen areato
beclearedis uneven.
1. Adjustskidshoesbylooseningthe four locknuts
andcarriageboltsandmovingskidshoesto desired
position.See Figure5.
2. Makecertainthe entire bottomsurfaceof skidshoes
areagainstthe groundto avoidunevenwear onthe
skidshoes.
3. Tightennutsand boltssecurely.
