Before Assembly

1. Cutthe cabletie thatsecuresthe upperhandleto
the chuteassemblyfor shippingpurposes.
Setting Up The Handle
1. Loosenthe chuteknobon theupperchute(l) and
pivotthe upperchuteupwards(2)as faras it willgo.
SeeFigure1.
,_ WARNING:Do not lift the snow thrower by
the chute handle.

2. Loosenthe handleknob,saddlewasherandhandle
tab oneachside of the handle.SeeFigure2.
3. Holdboth controlsagainstupperhandleand pullup
as shownin Step1 of Figure3. Makesurethatthe
upperhandlelocksoverthe lowerhandleandhandle
tabsalignwiththe handle.Youmayhaveto carefully
maneuverthe upperhandleto clearchuteassembly.
CAUTION:Be careful notto bend or kink the cable.
4. Tightenthe handleknobsoneach sideof the
handle.Referto Step2 inFigure3.
5. Adjustupperchuteandrotatechutehandleto
desiredoperatingposition.
6. Tightenthechuteknobon the upperchutemaking
surethe flatwasherandthe carriagebolt are
correctlypositioned.Referto Figure1.

Clean-Out Tool
Thistoolandthe electricextensioncord,if so equipped,
maybefastenedwitha cabletie to the rearof the auger
housingfor shippingpurposes.In thatcase,cutthe
cabletie and removetheextensioncord now.

Final Adjustments
IMPORTANT:Checktheadjustmentsas instructedand
makeany finaladjustmentsnecessarybeforeoperating
the unit.Checkall nutsandboltsfor tightness.Failureto
followtheseinstructionsmaycausedamageto unit.
Tire Pressure (Pneumatic Tires)
Thetiresareover-inflatedforshippingpurposes.Check
tirepressureand reducepressure,if needed.Referto
thetire'ssidewallfortheproperinflationPSiinformation.
Maintainequalpressureonbothwheelsof snowthrower.
WARNING:Referto the tire's sidewall

seating beads may causetire/rim
