Short distances
Stop the engine.
Pull out mains plug.
Grip the unit by the handle
on the hopper and tilt back-
wards (Fig. 5).
Carefully pull the unit.
Servicing/cleaning
Danger!
To protect against injury before
all work on the appliance
– switch OFF the engine
– wait until all rotating parts have
come to a standstill,
– pull out the mains plug,
– leave motor to cool down
(approx. 30 minutes).
When servicing the cutting tool,
ensure that it can still always run on,
even when the motor is switched off.
Wear protective gloves.
Cleaning
Caution!
– Do not splash the unit with water,
otherwise electric components
may be damaged.
– Clean the appliance after every
use. Failure to clean the appliance
can damage the materials and
cause malfunctions.
Handle the appliance with care
and clean it regularly to prolong
its service life.
Keep the ventilation slits clean
and dust-free.
Clean the unit with a damp cloth
and a soft brush.
Clean the cutting and discharge
area of all objects which could
block the blades.
Setting the cutter deck
Note
The cutter deck is set at the factory
and does not require adjustment
when the unit is switched on for
the first time.
The cutter deck only requires
re-adjustment if the material to be
chopped up is no longer severed
cleanly or is not severed at all.

Move switch (1) for switching the
direction of rotation of the cutter
deck to position A.
Switch on the unit.
Turn adjusting knob for adjusting
the cutter deck (2) clockwise until
grinding noises can be heard and
fine aluminium chips fall out
of the discharge chute.
Worn areas on the cutting plate
are optimally counterbalanced.
The material to be chopped
up is severed more cleanly
again.
Switch off the unit.
Laying up the appliance
Caution
Damage to appliance materials
Keep the appliance only in clean and
dry rooms when the engine is cold.
During prolonged storage, e.g.
in winter, ensure that the appli-
ance is protected against rust.
At the end of the season or when the
appliance will not be used for longer
than a month:
Clean the appliance.
To protect metal parts from rust,
wipe them all down with an oiled
cloth (resin-free oil) or apply
an oil spray.
Warranty
The warranty rules issued by our
company or the importer apply
to every country.
During the warranty period, any
malfunctions of the unit caused
by a material or manufacturing
defect will be repaired free of
charge. In the event of a warranty
claim, please take the unit, with
proof of purchase, to your original
dealer, or to the nearest authorised
customer service centre.
Identifying and eliminating
malfunctions
Faults which occur while you are
using your unit often have simple
causes which you should know
and should be able to rectify yourself
to some extent.
In cases of doubt your specialised
garage will be pleased to assist
you further.
