Ensure that the moving parts are
at a standstill. Allow the appliance
to cool before maintenance,
adjustment etc.
– When servicing the cutting tool,
ensure that it can still always
run on, even when the motor
is switched off.
Symbols on the appliance
On the appliance you will find
various symbols on adhesive labels.
They have the following specific
meanings:
Warning!
Please read the
operating instructions
before putting appli-
ance into operation!
Keep third parties
away from the danger
area!
Before carrying out
setting, cleaning and
maintenance work,
and in the event of
damage to the line,
remove the plug
from the mains!
Take care with rota-
ting blades.
Do not place hands
and feet in openings
when the machine
is running.
Wear protective
gloves!
Always wear eye and
ear protection!
Protect from moisture!
Always keep these symbols on the
appliance in a legible state.
Symbols in the user's
guide
Symbols are employed in the user's
guide to indicate hazards or draw
attention to important information.
They have the following specific
meanings:
Danger!
Draws your attention to sources
of potential danger associated
with the task you are undertaking
at the time which constitute
a danger to persons.
Caution!
Used to highlight hazards which are
associated with the activity that is
being described, whereby damage
could occur to the appli-ance.
Note
This indicates important information
and application tips.
Disposal instructions
Dispose of packaging remnants,
old units, etc., in accordance with
local regulations.
Old electrical equipment is
recyclable and should
therefore not be thrown
in the dustbin!
We request that you support
us with your active contribution
in the conservation of resources and
protection of the environment and
to dispose of this unit at collection
points, if available.
Operating times
Comply with the national/municipal
regulations concerning the times
when the appliance may be used
(if required, contact your local
authority).
Operating and display
elements
Caution. Damage to the

display elements are described
beforehand. Do not perform any
functions yet!

Operating safety
Risk
of electric shock
Use a safety switch on your mains
socket (= residual current operated
device with a release current not
exceeding 30 mA).
Danger
Accident
– Persons, in particular children,
or animals must be kept away
from the operating shredder.
Risk of injury from ejected
material or other objects.
Connect to the socket
(230 Volt, 50 Hz)
