Mounting
Auger
Housing
All Models
Before installing
attachment, place
tractor on a firm and
level surface. Place
the PTO in the disen-
gaged (OFF) position,
set the parking brake,
shut engine off and
remove key to prevent
unintended starting.
Mounting the Auger
Housing Assembly
1. Position the auger housing assembly in front of the tractor.
2. Pull the support pin on the right side of the upper lift
link outward and rotate it forward so it remains in the
“out” position. See Figure 27 Inset A.
3. Repeat Step 2 on the left side.
IMPORTANT: It will be necessary to have a second
person assist you to complete the following steps
4. Carefully move the tractor forward (by pushing, NOT
driving it) so that the support tubes found on the
rear of the auger housing assembly are positioned
between the tractor’s front tires.
WARNING: Before installing attachment, place
tractor on a firm and level surface. Place the PTO
in the disengaged (OFF) position, set the parking
brake, shut engine off and remove key to prevent
unintended starting.
5. With the help of an assistant, life up the auger housing
up and move the attachment back aligning the hooks
found on the rear of the lift assembly over the shoulder
bolts found on both the left and the right sides of the
tractor’s front pivot support brackets. See Figure 27
Inset B.
6. Maneuver the auger housing until the support pin
holes align with the holes in the tractor’s front pivot
support bracket. Have your assistant pull the support
pin on the right side of the auger housing outward
and rotate it slightly until it aligns with the hole on the
side of the front pivot support bracket. The pin can
then be released to lock it in place.
7. Repeat the previous step on the left side.
Attaching the Support
Tubes
1. Secure the right support tube to the front of the
undercarriage assembly with the clevis pin and
hairpin clip removed earlier. See Figure 28.
2. Repeat the previous step on the left side.
