Polycom Scheduling Plugin for Microsoft Outlook Installation Changes
Several improvements have been made to the installation process for the
Polycom Scheduling Plugin for Microsoft Outlook.
• The plugin is now suitable for silent installation.
• The installation process now includes a wizard.
• The installation process no longer requires administrative rights on the
client system.
Silent Installation
The Polycom Scheduling Plugin for Microsoft Outlook is now suitable for
silent installation using the Microsoft Windows Installer
msiexec
.
msiexec
is
an application embedded in the Microsoft Windows operating system. Type
msiexec
at a Windows command prompt to get more information about the
application.
To use the Windows Installer
1 If this is not the first installation of the Scheduling Plugin for Outlook,
you should remove the previous version of the Scheduling Plugin for
Outlook. You can do this at a Windows command prompt by using a
silent command:
msiexec /x "c:\Polycom Scheduling Plugin for Microsoft Outlook.msi" /q
Where:

"c:\Polycom Scheduling Plugin for Microsoft Outlook.msi"
is the
location of previous installation file
2 Download and save the installation file for the Polycom Scheduling
Plugin for Microsoft Outlook as described in the Polycom Scheduling
Guide for Microsoft Outlook.
3 To install the new
.msi
file, at a Windows command prompt, enter and
edit the following command as needed for your installation:
msiexec /i "c:\Polycom Scheduling Plugin for Microsoft Outlook.msi" /q
SERVER="172.21.115.101" USESSO=1
Where:

is the
location of installation file

SERVER="172.21.115.101"
is the IP address or DNS of the Polycom
CMA system
—
USESSO=1
is 0 or 1 to indicate whether or not to Sign in using network
login credentials. (1=Yes and the default value; 0 is No)
