The MC-5 from MSI Geosystems is the ideal rugged mobile field
computer. Its flexible design and powerful functionality provides a rapid
return-on-investment due to the ability to tailor the MC-5 to match the
users field computing and data collection application. The MC-5 is a
field-ready workhorse built for field use in any weather condition.
Typical applications for the MC-5 include: Surveying, Engineering,
Construction, GIS Mapping, Wetland Delineation, Mining/Quarrying
Surveys, Volume Determination, Environmental Mapping, Accident
Reconstruction, Deformation Monitoring, as well as other applications
requiring accuracy and precision of three-dimensional coordinates
and/or geographic locations in a dynamic environment.

The MC-5 features a Texas
Instruments AM3715 1GHz
processor with 512MB and
8GB of internal memory,
which can be upgraded to
40GB via a SDHC memory
card. The Windows®
embedded 6.5 Operating
System includes software
such as Mobile Office.The
removable 5600mAh battery
can be replaced in the field.
A 12-32VDC power adapter/
charger is available.
GPS Receiver
The MC-5 has an internal 48
channel GPS module with a
built-in GPS antenna, which
can operate in urban areas
and other types of hostile
GPS environments for all
sorts of survey applications.
5MP Camera
The MC-5 has an integrated
5 Megapixel auto focus
camera with a built-in LED
flash, which allows for in-field
photo documentation.

The MC-5’s 3.5” touch
screen is specifically
designed for viewing in direct
sunlight and can be operated
with gloves.
