3. VP-SI/O PCI Card Specification and Installation (Optional)
VP-SI/O PCI Card:
The VP-SI/O card has default 4 digital inputs and outputs. It can be expanded to 16 digital inputs and
outputs by adding extra daughter boards. VP-SI/O PCI CARD also has a built-in RS-485 converter for
camera PTZ control. Please refer to following connection diagram.

RS-485 CONVERTER connecting:
1. Insert a VP-SIO card to one of the VP-DVR PCI slot.
2. Use a DB-9 to RJ-45 cable to connect the VP-SIO card and VP-DVR COM port.
3. Connect PTZ DATA+ &DATA- to VP-SIO card.
4. Power on the VP-DVR.
5. Setup COM port to PTZ control in the system setup manual.
