Over Temperature Warning
An Over Temperature Warning activates when the internal system electronics approach maxi-
mum recommended operating temperature limits.
- A red indicator flashes on the center top section of the display area when the camera exceeds
recommended operational thermal limits.
The environmental thermal tolerance values for the camera can be found in chapter 7.
Battery Status Indicator
Fig. 5 On-Screen indicators
Remaining battery capacity is shown by 4 equal battery segments:
NOTE: If the red segment flashes three times at turn-ON, the battery is too low to operate the cam-
era and the camera will switch OFF.
Battery Charging Indicator
When the camera is placed into the optional vehicle charger, the charging indicator shows the
charging status.
- Red indicates charging is in progress.
- Green indicates charging is complete.
NOTE: If the indicator is not lit, the camera is not in proper contact with the vehicle charger base.
Ensure that camera is properly installed in the charger and that charger has power. Clean the bat-
tery charging contacts on the front of the camera if necessary.
WARNING
Most electronic devices cease to operate at certain high temperature extremes. Tests on the
EVOLUTION 6000 series of TICs indicate that they provide an acceptable image when subject-
ed to an ambient temperature of approximately 120°C (248°F) for about twenty minutes. Expo-
sure to conditions exceeding these may result in deterioration and loss of image.
