Connecting the device A. INDOOR IP CAMERA • • • • Take the mrSafe indoor IP camera out of the box. Attach the Wifi antenna (8).
Example of an installation: • Take the mrSafe outdoor IP camera out of the box. Attach the Wifi antenna (9) and the bracket (10). • We used a cable box which is available for a few euros at the hardware store. • The grommets or glands are placed around the cables. You may need to cut the grommet around the camera cable. If so, it needs to be sealed again later. There are 2 connections open at the bottom of the cable box.
• A hole of about 10 mm will be drilled through the wall. The round plug of the power cable will be taken from the inside to the outside. The cable box is placed close to the power cable. The round plug will be attached to the camera cable inside the cable box. • The hole in the wall, the grommets or cable glands and possible cuts in the cable box should be sealed so that everything is water resistant. • If you want, you can fix the cable as well.
2.2. Software installation Download the software from www.mrsafe.eu and begin the software installation. Click “Next” to start the installation. The system will automatically make a new folder (as shown above), where the software will be installed. Click “Next” to continue. NOTE: If you want to save the software on another location please click “Browse” and choose the folder where you want to install the software. Click “Next” to continue.
Select the “Create a desktop icon” button to create a shortcut on your desktop. Click “Next” to continue. Click “Install” to complete the installation. The progress of the installation will be shown. This can take a few minutes. When the installation is finished the software will automatically open on your screen and there will be a shortcut on your desktop (if chosen during installation). 3.
4. WIFI SETTINGS Click the “mrSafe” shortcut on your desktop to start the program. A quick start menu will automatically appear. The quick start menu shows 3 steps that you can browse through with the “Next” button. Click “Close” to end the quick start. Make sure that the IP camera is connected to your LAN with the network cable. The IP camera will now automatically be found in your local LAN area. Right click on the IP camera in the LAN list and choose “Setup Wifi”.
Select “Start Wifi setting” and press “Scan”. The system is now going to search for local Wifi connections. When the scan is finished please select your local Wifi in the “Network name (SSID)” box. Type your network password and click “OK”. After confirming, the IP camera will automatically restart. This can take a few minutes. The camera is now connected to your Wifi.
When the image appears, the camera is ready to operate. If the image is not completely clear or sharp, you can turn the lens focusing ring till the image appears sharp. If you want to control the camera and change the viewing angle you have to double click on the image. The image will reappear with a white edge. Now you can control the camera with the control panel (for further information see chapter “7.2. Control Panel”). 5.2.
5.2.1.2. Set the IP address You can change the IP address of your camera individually. • • Choose for DHCP if you want to use the automatic assigned IP address. If you want to use the same IP address every time, select “Fixed IP”. Put in the IP address manually by clicking in the “IP address” box. Press “OK” to save changes. The device status will show “Login successful” when the camera is logged into the mrSafe server. 5.2.1.3.
Choose the start time when the camera must start recording and choose the end time when the camera must stop recording. Press “Add” to save the settings, the previous menu will reappear. Press “Apply” to confirm the video schedule. NOTE: 1. Your computer must be turned ON, the PC software must be turned ON and the camera must be active in the PC software while recording images with the video schedule. The images will be saved ONLY on your computer and will ONLY be viewable on your computer. 2.
The sensitivity is adjustable. For outdoor cameras, please note that leaves moving in the wind and rain are also detected as “motion”. In case of an alarm, the camera can send an alert to the PC (if the software is activated), send an email, or start recording on the SD card (if available). Tick the check boxes for “Motion Detection” and "Ignore SD card failure". In the "Receiver E-mail" field, you should enter the email address that needs to receive the alerts.
Fill in a name for the camera group and press “OK” to save the settings. A folder will appear in the LAN list. To add a camera to the group, select the camera ID with the left button, hold the left button and drag it into the folder. To delete a group, right click on the group name. Click on “Remove a group” in the pop-up menu. 6. WAN CAMERA 6.1. WAN Login Press “Register” in the upper right corner.
The pop-up window above will appear. Enter a username, password an e-mail address. Press “Register” to confirm your registration. For use over the Internet (WAN), you will be asked to log in. There are 2 possibilities to login. 1. You can login per camera. Find the login details at the bottom of the IP Camera. You need to enter the user name (CAM ID) and Password (Login Password). Now you can only see the camera you have logged into. 2.
When the image appears, the camera is ready to operate. If you want to control the camera and change the viewing angle you have to click on the image. The image will reappear with a white edge. Now you can control the camera with the control panel (For more information go to chapter “7.2. Control Panel”). 6.3. WAN Camera settings You can change the settings of each camera by right clicking on the camera you want to adjust.
6.3.1 Setting options 6.3.1.1. Add device You can rename the camera you want to add by entering a new name in the “Device alias” box. Enter the device ID and access code (at the bottom of the IP Camera) and press “OK”. The new camera will now be shown in the WAN list. 6.3.1.2. Change ACCESS CODE To change the access code, enter the new code in the “New access code” box and verify the new code by entering the same code in the box below. Press “OK” to save the setting.
You can change the camera ID into another name. Type a new name in the box and press “OK”. The camera will now have another name instead of its ID. 6.3.1.4. SD Card file download (Only for HD IP cameras) For further information see chapter 10 “Use of the SD Card”. 6.4. Group Management In the WAN list, right click the blank space. Following pop-up menu will appear. You can make different groups of cameras in the WAN list. Click “Create a group”.
7. MENU INSTRUCTIONS There are 2 different menus in the system: 1. Main menu 2. Control Panel 7.1. Main menu You can watch video in full screen mode by pressing the 4 arrows button. To exit full screen mode click “Exit full screen” in the upper right corner. The gear wheel is used for making changes in the settings.
• • • • • • Closing the main window: means that when you press the cross sign in the upper right corner you can choose between minimizing to the status bar or exit the software. Exit software: when you close the software you can choose if the program asks you to confirm the exit of the software. Notifications: You can choose if notifications will be shown or not. 3D Option: if you select the 3D, the software will be using the video card of your computer.
• • • • Alarm notification time: you can choose the amount of seconds the program will give an alarm Alarm audio Notification: you can select a music file from your computer to use as the alarm indication. Alarm recording time: You can choose the amount of seconds the program will record an alarm in the PC software. Alarm capture: You can choose the amount of seconds the program will capture pictures when the alarm goes off. Press “OK” to save the settings.
What to do if you have changed the password of your camera , but you have forgotten the new password? A. In case you have NOT registered an account on the server (see “Register” menu): If the IP camera is ON and connected via a network cable, you should press the reset button on one of the cables of the device at least 10 seconds using for example a cocktail stick. The camera makes a clicking sound and will now restart.
Enter the old password and the new password (2 times to verify). The calculator icon is a logbook where all the logins are listed. This way you can see who and how much you/someone else has logged in into the system. If you want to remove the logbook, click “Clear” and all the data will be removed. The question mark icon is the support file.
If you have a question about the software you can search the help file for the answer. In the right top corner, there is a menu “Register”. Using this menu, you can create an account on the server, using your own login and password. (For further information see chapter “6.1. WAN login”). 7.2. Control Panel With this menu you can control your camera.

Flip vertical Flip horizontal Set Wifi (NOTE: button only works in LAN) Logbook Settings 7.2.1 Settings With the settings button you can change the sharpness, brightness, saturation, etc… of your camera footage. The alarm management is used to set up the sensitivity of the alarm. That means that if you choose for a number between 0 and 5 the alarm will have a low sensitivity and will only go off when there is an obvious movement in front of the camera.
8. CAMERA MANAGEMENT 8.1. Camera settings To change the settings go to the upper left corner and press the • • • • • • button. Closing the main window: means that when you press the cross sign in the upper right corner you can choose between minimizing to the status bar or exit the software. Exit software: when you close the software you can choose if the program asks you to confirm the exit of the software. Notifications: You can choose if notifications will be shown or not.
• • • • • • • • Default folder: here you can choose the destination folder of the files that you record. To change the destination folder press “+” to choose another folder. NOTE: “Loop recording” means that when the capacity for saving files is exceeded, the program will automatically remove the oldest files to save the newest files. Captured files will be saved in this folder: this is the folder where the pictures you have taken will be saved.
8.2. Device management To make changes to your device go to the upper left corner and press the • • button. Add device: you can add an extra IP camera Change password: you can change your login password What to do if you have changed the password of your camera , but you have forgotten the new password? A.
9. ALARM SETTINGS 9.1. Alarm management You can set alarms that will be activated by movements (motion) in front of the camera. Click on . The alarm management is used to set up the sensitivity of the alarm. That means that if you choose for a number between 0 and 5 the alarm will have a low sensitivity and will only go off when there is an obvious movement in front of the camera.
10. USE OF MICRO SD CARD (only for HD IP cameras) 10.1. Placing the micro SD card Important: The SD card should be a Class 10 SD card with a maximum capacity of 32 GB ! • Power off the IP Camera. • Open the IP camera by removing the 4 screws. • Carefully take off the backside. • Insert the micro SD card. • Power ON the IP Camera. 10.2. Configuration of the camera for use with micro SD card Go to the tab “LAN”. Right-click on the camera icon and select “SD Card Configuration”.
• • You can choose “Start conversion” to convert the .hkv files to .avi-files. This way, you can use your video recordings for various purposes, for example YouTube. You can also choose “Save as” and just save the files as .hkv files on your PC. You will only be able to view them on PC’s that have the mrSafe software installed. 10.4. Use of the FTP server You can only use the FTP function with an SD card in the camera.

Aansluiten van het apparaat A. INDOOOR IP CAMERA • Neem de mrSafe indoor IP camera uit de doos. Bevestig de Wifi-antenne (8).
Hieronder een voorbeeld installatie: • Neem de mrSafe outdoor IP camera uit de doos. Bevestig de Wifi-antenne (9) en de beugel (10). • We gebruiken een kabeldoos die voor een paar euro bij de bouwmarkt verkrijgbaar is. • De tules of wartels worden rond de kabels geplaatst. Mogelijk dient u de tule rond de camerakabel in te snijden, deze moet dan later wel afgedicht worden. In de kabeldoos worden 2 aansluitingen aan de onderzijde geopend.
• Er wordt een gat van ca. 10 mm door de muur geboord. Van binnenuit wordt de ronde stekker van de voedingskabel naar buiten gevoerd. De kabeldoos wordt dicht bij deze voedingskabel geplaatst. De ronde stekker wordt in de kabeldoos aangesloten op de kabel van de camera. • Het gat in de muur, de tules of wartels en een eventuele insnijding in de kabeldoos dienen met kit waterdicht afgewerkt te worden. • Eventueel zet u de kabel nog vast.
2.2. Software installatie Download de software op www.mrsafe.eu en start de software installatie. Klik “Next” om de installatie te starten. Het systeem zal automatisch een nieuwe map aanmaken (zoals hierboven weergegeven), waar de software zal worden opgeslagen. Klik “Next” om door te gaan. OPMERKING: Als u de software op een andere locatie wil opslaan, klik “Browse” en kies de map waarin u de software wil opslaan. Klik “Next” om door te gaan.
Kies de “Create a desktop icon” knop om een snelkoppeling op uw bureaublad te plaatsen. Klik “Next” om door te gaan met de installatie. Klik “Install” om de installatie te voltooien. De voortgang van de installatie zal getoond worden. Dit kan enkele minuten duren. Wanneer de installatie voltooid is, zal de software zich automatisch opstarten en zal er een snelkoppeling naar het programma op uw bureaublad staan (indien u dit gekozen hebt tijdens de installatie).
Om de taalinstelling aan te passen, klikt u links bovenaan in het scherm op het tandwiel-icoon. Het volgende scherm verschijnt. Onderaan kunt u “Dutch” selecteren. Klik vervolgens op OK. De software dient nu opnieuw opgestart te worden. Pas dan zal de taal van de software aangepast zijn naar Nederlands. 3. TERMINOLOGIE LAN: Local Area Network: Uw thuis-netwerk, dat uw internet modem en alle apparatuur omvat in het huis dat is aangesloten op het netwerk via kabel of Wifi.
Zorg ervoor dat de IP camera is aangesloten aan uw LAN met de netwerk kabel. De IP camera zal nu automatisch te vinden zijn in uw lokale LAN omgeving. Klik met de rechtermuisknop op de IP-camera in de LAN lijst en kies “Wifi verbinding instellen”. Selecteer “Wifi instellen” en vervolgens “Scan”. Het systeem gaat nu zoeken naar lokale Wifi-verbindingen. Wanneer de scan voltooid is selecteert u uw lokale Wifi in het “Netwerknaam (SSID)” kader.
netwerk in en klik op “OK”. Na bevestiging zal de IP camera zichzelf automatisch opnieuw opstarten. Dit kan enkele minuten duren. De camera is nu verbonden met Wifi. Nadat u de Wifi heeft ingesteld, dient u allereerst te controleren of de camera goed functioneert als deze dicht bij het modem geplaatst wordt.
Als u de camera wil bedienen en de kijk-hoek wil veranderen, dubbelklik op het beeld. Het beeld zal opnieuw verschijnen met een witte rand rondom. Dit betekend dat u nu de camera kan bedienen met het bedieningspaneel (voor meer informatie over het bedieningspaneel ga naar “7.2. Bedieningspaneel”). 5.2. LAN Camera instellingen U kan de instellingen van elke camera veranderen door op uw rechtermuisknop te klikken op de camera waar u de instellingen van wil veranderen. 5.2.1. Opties voor instellingen 5.2.1.
5.2.1.2. IP adres instellen U kunt het IP-adres van uw camera individueel veranderen. • Kies voor DHCP als u het automatische toegewezen IP-adres wenst te gebruiken. • Als u hetzelfde IP-adres elke keer opnieuw wil gebruiken, selecteert u “Vaste IP”. Vul het IP-adres handmatig in door te klikken in het vak “IP-adres”. Klik op “OK” om de wijzigingen op te slaan. De status van het apparaat toont "Login succesvol" wanneer de camera wordt aangemeld in de mrSafe server. 5.2.1.3.
Kies de starttijd wanneer de camera moet beginnen opnemen en kies de eindtijd wanneer de camera moet stoppen met opnemen. Druk op “Toevoegen” om de instellingen op te slaan. Druk op “Toepassen” om de instellingen van het opnameschema te bevestigen. OPMERKINGEN: 1. Uw computer, PC software, de camera in de PC software MOETEN GEACTIVEERD zijn tijdens de opnames met het opnameschema. De opgenomen beelden zullen ENKEL op uw computer opgeslagen worden en zijn ENKEL te bekijken op uw computer. 2.
Vink de aankruisvakjes voor “Bewegingsdetectie” en “Afwijkende micro SD-kaartlezer” aan. Bij “E-mail ontvanger” geeft u het e-mail adres op waarop de alarmmelding ontvangen moet worden. Bij “E-mail afzender” geeft u een hotmail of gmail adres op. De bijbehorende naam en wachtwoord vult u in bij SMTP user name en SMT password. Let op dat TLS wordt gekozen bij “Versleuteling” en “SMTP poort” 587 wordt ingevuld. Als u op “Test” klikt, wordt een test e-mail verzonden.
Vul een naam in voor de groep die u wenst te maken en druk op “OK” om de instellingen op te slaan. Een nieuwe map zal verschijnen in de LAN lijst. Om een camera toe te voegen aan de groep, selecteer de camera ID met de linkermuisknop, houd de linkermuisknop ingedrukt en sleep de camera in de groep. Om een groep te verwijderen, rechtermuisklik op de groepsnaam. Klik op “Een groep verwijderen” in het pop-up menu. 6. WAN CAMERA 6.1. WAN Login Klik op “Meld aan” in de rechterbovenhoek.
Vul een gebruikersnaam, wachtwoord en e-mailadres in. Klik op “Aanmelden” om uw registratie te bevestigen. Voor gebruik via het internet (WAN), wordt u gevraagd om in te loggen. Er zijn 2 mogelijkheden om in te loggen. • U kunt inloggen per camera. Vind de inloggegevens aan de onderkant van de IP-camera. U moet de gebruikersnaam (CAM-ID) en Password (Wachtwoord) invoeren. Nu kunt u alleen de camera zien waar u zich voor hebt ingelogd.
6.2. WAN Camera browsing Wanneer u ingelogd bent, dubbelklik op de camera. Het programma gaat nu contact maken met uw IP camera. Dit kan enkele seconden duren. Wanneer het beeld verschijnt is de camera gereed voor gebruik. Als u de camera wil bedienen en de kijk-hoek wil veranderen, dubbelklik op het beeld. Het beeld zal opnieuw verschijnen met een witte rand rondom. Dit betekend dat u nu de camera kan bedienen met het bedieningspaneel (voor meer informatie over het bedieningspaneel ga naar “7.2.
6.3. WAN Camera instellingen U kan de instellingen van elke individuele camera aanpassen door op uw rechtermuisknop te klikken op de camera die u wenst aan te passen. 6.3.1. Opties voor instellingen 6.3.1.1. Camera toevoegen Bij het toevoegen van een nieuw apparaat kan u de naam van het apparaat zelf kiezen door deze in te vullen in de “Camera toevoegen” kader. Vul daaronder het ID-nummer van de camera in en de access code (te vinden onderaan de camera) en druk op “OK” om te bevestigen.
6.3.1.2. Weergavewachtwoord wijzigen Om te toegangscode te veranderen vult u de nieuwe code in en moet u de nieuwe code verifiëren door deze nogmaals in te vullen in de kader onderaan. Druk op “OK” om de instellingen op te slaan. OPMERKING: De volgende keer wanneer het systeem vraagt om de access code, moet u de nieuwe code invullen! Om de nieuwe code te verwijderen moet u de standaardinstellingen herstellen (“Fabrieksinstellingen herstellen”). De originele access code zal opnieuw van toepassing zijn. 6.3.
Vul een naam in voor de groep die u wenst te maken en druk op “OK” om de instellingen op te slaan. Een nieuwe map zal verschijnen in de LAN lijst. Om een camera toe te voegen aan de groep, selecteer de camera ID met de linkermuisknop, hou de linkermuisknop ingedrukt en sleep de camera in de groep. Om een groep te verwijderen, rechtermuisklik op de groepsnaam. Klik op “Een groep verwijderen” in de pop-up menu. 7. MENU INSTRUCTIES Er zijn 2 verschillende menu’s in het systeem: 1. Hoofdmenu 2.
7.1. Hoofdmenu U kan de beelden in volledig scherm bekijken door te klikken op de 4-pijlentoets. Om uit het volledige scherm te gaan klikt u op “Volledig scherm afsluiten” in de rechterbovenhoek. Het tandwiel wordt gebruikt om aanpassingen aan de instellingen te maken. • • • • • • Sluiten van het hoofdvenster: betekent dat wanneer u op het kruisje in de rechterbovenhoek van het scherm klikt, u kunt kiezen tussen het minimaliseren van de statusbalk of de software afsluiten.
• • • • • • • • • Standaard map: hier kunt u de map van de bestanden die u opneemt kiezen. Om de bestandsmap te veranderen druk op “+” om een andere map te kiezen. Opname in lus (loop): betekent dat wanneer de capaciteit voor het opslaan van bestanden wordt overschreden, het programma automatisch de oudste bestanden zal verwijderen om de nieuwste bestanden op te slaan. PC de foto’s worden opgeslagen in: dit is de map waarin de foto's die u via de computer hebt genomen zullen worden opgeslagen.
Met het camera-icoon kan u de instellingen van uw IP camera veranderen. • • Camera toevoegen: u kan een extra IP camera toevoegen. Wachtwoord wijzigen: u kan het passwoord van uw login veranderen.
Met het vergrootglas kan u zoeken naar de videobeelden die u heeft opgenomen. Alle opgenomen bestanden worden weergegeven aan de linkerkant. Als u klikt op een bepaald bestand dan opent zich dat in het zwarte venster. Klik één keer op het scherm. Het zal nu kleiner worden met een witte rand rond. Nu kunt u door de beelden navigeren via het menu aan de onderkant (afspelen, stoppen, terugspoelen, vooruit, enz. ..). Met het slotje kan u het login password veranderen (enkel in WAN menu).
Het rekenmachine is een logboek waar alle logins zijn opgeslagen. Op deze manier kunt u zien wie en hoeveel u/iemand anders heeft ingelogd in het systeem. Als u het logboek wilt verwijderen, klikt u op “Verwijderen” en alle gegevens worden verwijderd. Het vraagteken is het Help-bestand. Heeft u een vraag over de software dan kunt u het antwoord zoeken in het Help-bestand.
In de rechterbovenhoek is er het menu “Aanmelden”. Met behulp van dit menu kunt u een account aanmaken op de server, met behulp van uw eigen login en wachtwoord. (Zie voor meer informatie het hoofdstuk “6.1. WAN login”). 7.2. Bedieningspaneel Met dit menu kunt u de camera bedienen.

Logboek Instellingen 7.2.1. Instellingen Met de knop “Instellingen” kunt u de scherpte, helderheid, verzadiging, enz ... van uw camerabeelden veranderen. Het alarmbeheer wordt gebruikt voor het instellen van de gevoeligheid van het alarm. Dat betekent dat als u kiest voor een getal tussen 0 en 5 het alarm een lage gevoeligheid zal hebben en zal alleen afgaan als er zich een overduidelijke beweging voor de camera bevindt.
8. CAMERA MANAGEMENT 8.1. Camera-instellingen Om de instellingen te veranderen ga naar de linkerbovenhoek en druk op de • • • • • • • • knop. Sluiten van het hoofdvenster: betekent dat wanneer u op het kruisje in de rechterbovenhoek van het scherm klikt, u kunt kiezen tussen het minimaliseren van de statusbalk of de software afsluiten. Software afsluiten: wanneer u de software sluit kunt u kiezen of het programma aan u vraagt om het afsluiten van de software te bevestigen.
• • • • • • • PC de foto’s worden opgeslagen in: dit is de map waarin de foto's die u via de computer hebt genomen zullen worden opgeslagen. Als u de bestandsmap wilt wijzigen, klik op “...” en kies een andere map. Als u door uw gemaakte foto’s wil bladeren klik op “Map openen”. Video’s verwijderen: verwijder alle opgenomen video's van de IP-camera's. Foto’s verwijderen: verwijder alle foto’s van de IP-camera's. Tijdsduur alarm: u kan het aantal seconden kiezen dat het alarm weergegeven zal worden.
Met het camera-icoon kan u de instellingen van uw IP camera veranderen. • Camera toevoegen: u kan een extra IP camera toevoegen. • Wachtwoord wijzigen: u kan het passwoord van uw login veranderen. Wat te doen als u het wachtwoord van uw camera heeft veranderd, maar u het nieuwe wachtwoord vergeten bent? A.
Het alarmbeheer wordt gebruikt voor het instellen van de gevoeligheid van het alarm. Dat betekent dat als u kiest voor een getal tussen 0 en 5 het alarm een lage gevoeligheid zal hebben en zal alleen afgaan als er zich een overduidelijke beweging voor de camera bevindt. Wanneer u kiest voor een getal tussen 5 en 10 zal het alarm een hoge gevoeligheid hebben en zal het alarm al afgaan wanneer er zich een hele kleine beweging voor de camera bevindt.
10.2. Configuratie van de camera voor gebruik met micro SD-kaart Ga naar de tab “LAN”. Rechtermuisklik op het camera-icoon en selecteer “Configuratie SD kaart”. Formatteer de micro SD-kaart en wacht een minuut tot het formateren is gedaan. Selecteer de instellingen voor de micro SD-kaart, bijvoorbeeld vergelijkbaar met die in de bovenstaande afbeelding en klik op “Toepassen” om de instellingen te bevestigen. Klik op “Afsluiten” om de configuratie van de micro SD-kaart te vervolledigen.
10.4. Gebruik van de FTP server U kunt alleen gebruik maken van de FTP-server met een SD-kaart in de camera. In het scherm waarin u de instellingen van de SD-kaart aanpast, kunt u ook de details van de FTP-server ingeven. Voornamelijk: • IP-adres van de FTP-server • Loginnaam • Wachtwoord • De standaard poort is poort 21 De FTP-server moet worden ingegeven, INCLUSIEF de vermelding ftp:// en mag niet verwijzen naar sub-mappen.
