SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Before starting the installation, make sure that the car ignition is off. Make sure that the operation of the carkit will never influence your safety. Make sure not to damage electrical cables, fuel or brake lines or safety equipment during the installation. Make sure not to impact the steering or braking system or other key systems essential for the proper operation of the car when installing the carkit.

The handsfree unit has the following jacks for connecting external units: 1. Socket for screen (D2) cable. 2. Microphone socket M1. 3. Socket for external speaker connection (3-6W, min 8 Ohm). When the external speaker is connected to socket 3, the built-in speaker is switched off automatically. 4. Fuse Fuse SC3 SC2 SYSTEM CABLE SC5 (Optional, available separately) System cable SC5 connects the handsfree unit with the power supply, the ignition system, the mute socket of the car radio and the 2 front car speakers. It includes the mute box (MB2) with relay components and a cable with ISO standard sockets. Please see the chapter “Installation” where the connection diagram is shown.

The cable that comes out of the screen unit is used for connecting the screen unit to the handsfree unit. Make sure that the cable is placed so that it will not be damaged (e.g. not laid under car seats or over sharp edges). MICROPHONE (M1) Mount the microphone close to the user’s head (30 cm is optimal) and place it so that it is directed towards the mouth. Experience has shown that the best location is near the rearview mirror or to the left of the sun visor.

USER PROFILES The Blue Compact supports a multiple user profiles structure. The maximum quantity of user profiles is four. Every user can copy and keep in the carkit memory his phonebook, call list and configuration settings of the device. The name of each profile is identified according to the Bluetooth® name of the corresponding mobile phone. If no phone is paired with the carkit, the pairing operation has to be done first.

Note: If the Blue Compact and your phone were disconnected and you want to reconnect them it is not necessary to pair these 2 devices again. Restoring of the connection will be performed without asking for the access code. FUNCTIONS 1. CALL LIST You can use this feature to review the call lists and dial the numbers the same way as you do with your mobile phone. The call lists are stored in the carkit memory even if you switch off the power.

• To delete an incorrect digit, press or hold for a few seconds to delete all digits. • Press to confirm the PIN code. • The phonebook copying will start accordingly. The existing phonebook, stored in the Blue Compact, will be erased automatically. • If your SIM card is not PIN code protected, the phonebook copying process will start automatically. • As soon as the phonebook copying process is finished, you can remove the SIM card from the holder. To release the card from the holder, you should press it.

MAKING CALLS 1. STANDBY MODE In Standby mode the display shows the current parameters of your phone: • Signal strength of the cellular network at the current location. The higher the bars, the stronger the signal. The number of bar-segments may differ slightly from your phone due to Bluetooth® implementation for this software. • Capacity of the battery. The higher the capacity, the more bars. If the battery is almost discharged, the icon will flash.

Zekering Zekering SC3 SC2 SYSTEEMKABEL SC5 (Optioneel, apart te verkrijgen) De systeemkabel SC5 verbindt het handsfree toestel met de stroomvoorziening, de geschakelde stroomdraad, de ‘mute’ aansluiting van de autoradio en de 2 luidsprekers vooraan in de wagen. De kabel bevat de mute box met verbindingscomponenten en een systeemkabel met ISO standaard aansluitingen. Gelieve het hoofdstuk “Installatie” te raadplegen, waar het verbindingsdiagram wordt getoond.

2. De meest geavanceerde en mooiste optie is het scherm rechtstreeks, zonder de houder, op het dashboard te plaatsen met behulp van het dubbelzijdige plakband. De kabel van het scherm wordt gebruikt om het scherm en het handsfree toestel met elkaar te verbinden. Zorg ervoor dat de kabel zo geplaatst wordt dat deze niet beschadigd kan worden (bijvoorbeeld, niet onder de autozetel of over scherpe kantjes).

Professionele inbouwverbinding: Onmiddellijk met het elektronische systeem van de wagen via systeemkabel SC5 (Optioneel, apart verkrijgbaar). • Koppel de plug van de radio en de voedingsdraad los. • Verbind de kabel zoals getoond in het verbindingsdiagram hieronder. WERKING Omdat toestellen met Bluetooth® technologie communiceren via radiogolven, is het niet nodig dat uw carkit en uw mobiele telefoon zich binnen het directe gezichtsveld bevinden. De 2 toestellen dienen zich enkel binnen een maximum afstand van 10 meter van elkaar te bevinden. U hoeft uw mobiele telefoon dus niet uit uw zak of tas te halen om te bellen of gebeld te worden via uw carkit.

GEBRUIKERSPROFIELEN De Blue Compact ondersteunt meerdere gebruikersprofielen. Het maximum aantal gebruikersprofielen is vier. Elke gebruiker kan de volgende gegevens in het geheugen van de carkit bewaren: telefoonboek, oproeplijst en configuratie-instellingen van het toestel. De naam van elk profiel komt overeen met de Bluetooth® naam van de corresponderende mobiele telefoon. Indien geen telefoon gekoppeld werd met de carkit, dient eerst de koppelingsprocedure voltooid te worden.

• Houdt u de toets van het scherm ingedrukt gedurende 5 seconden; OF • Plaatst u de telefoon op een afstand van meer dan 10 meter van de Blue Compact; OF • Verbreekt u de verbinding tussen de Blue Compact en uw telefoon in het menu van uw telefoon. Opmerking: Wanneer de verbinding tussen de Blue Compact en uw telefoon verbroken werd en u wenst deze terug te herstellen, is het niet nodig om deze toestellen terug aan elkaar te koppelen.

5.3. Wissen Selecteer dit menu om overbodige profielen te wissen. 5. NUMMERHERHALING Nummerherhaling gebeurt vanuit de oproeplijst. Door de lijst met uitgaande oproepen te selecteren, kunt u de laatst gevormde nummers na het aanschakelen van de Blue Compact terug opbellen. • In Standby positie, drukt u tweemaal op . • Drie lijsten zullen op het scherm verschijnen: Uit elke lijst kan u het gewenste nummer kiezen: • Uitgaande oproepen • Ontvangen oproepen • Gemiste oproepen Opmerking: Deze lijsten worden enkel weergegeven als er nummers in deze lijsten beschikbaar zijn.

Tweede oproep • De informatie van de beller verschijnt op het scherm. • Druk op om de tweede oproep aan te nemen. • De eerste oproep wordt in wacht gezet. • Druk op om de huidige oproep te beëindigen. • Druk op om van de ene oproep naar de andere te schakelen. 7. Het toestel werkt niet. Het is verbonden met de autoradio via de adapter. De autoradio werkt. 1. Geen contact tussen de draden. 2. De draden van de radio zijn smaller dan nodig (met doorsnede kleiner dan 0,75mm2). 3. 1,5 A zekering in de stroomadapter is defect. Een oproeper hoort u niet. Het toestel is verbonden met de autoradio, maar de “mute” functie werkt niet tijdens een oproep. 1. De microfoon is niet aangesloten. 1. Controleer de contacten van de verbinding. 2.

Onderstaande suggesties helpen u de garantieverplichtingen na te leven en jarenlang van uw product te genieten. • Houd het toestel en alle onderdelen droog. Neerslag, vochtigheid en allerlei vloeistoffen kunnen mineralen bevatten die het elektronische circuit aan kunnen tasten. • Bewaar het toestel niet op warme plaatsen.

2. La manière la plus avancée de fixer l’écran est de monter l’écran directement, sans support, sur le tableau de bord, en utilisant l’adhésif double-face. Le câble du module écran est utilisé pour connecter le module écran au module mains libres. Assurez-vous de placer le câble de telle sorte qu’il ne soit pas endommagé (par ex. pas sous les sièges de la voiture ou sur des rebords coupants).

PROFILS UTILISATEUR Le Blue Compact supporte une structure avec plusieurs profils utilisateur. Le nombre maximum de profils utilisateur est quatre. Das aus dem Display ragende Kabel wird zur Verbindung des Displays mit dem Freisprechsystem verwendet. BENUTZERPROFILE Das Blue Compact unterstützt eine mehrfache Benutzerprofilstruktur. Es sind maximal vier Benutzerprofile möglich. PROFILI DI UTENTE Il Blue Compact supporta una struttura con molteplici profili di utenti. La quantità massima di profili utente è pari a quattro. Ogni utente può copiare e salvare nella memoria del kit per auto la propria rubrica telefonica, l’elenco chiamate e le impostazioni di configurazione del dispositivo. Il nome di ciascun profilo viene identificato in base al nome Bluetooth® del telefono mobile corrispondente.

ПРОФИЛИ ПОЛЬЗОВАТЕЛЯ Устройство Blue Compact позволяет создавать до 4-х пользовательских профилей. В каждый профиль можно скопировать Телефонную книжку, список вызов и индивидуальную конфигурацию настроек устройства. Название профилей соответствуют Bluetooth® - имени соответствующего мобильного телефона. При включении устройства автоматически активируется последний использовавшийся профиль, и устройство начинает предпринимать попытки соединения с соответствующим телефоном.
