Safety Precautions
WARNING (for using R290/R32 refrigerant only)
DO NOT use any other methods to clean or defrost the unit than those recommended by the manufacturer.
The appliance should be stored in a room that does not contain continuously operating ignition sources (ex:
open flames, an operating electric heater, or an operating gas appliance), and ignition sources (ex: an operating
electric heater) close to the appliance.
DO NOT Pierce or burn.
Be aware some refrigerants may not contain an odor, so leakage could be difficult to detect.
When working with refrigerant, compliance with local and national gas regulations should be observed.
Be sure to keep ventilation openings clear of obstructions.
The appliance should be stored in such a way to prevent mechanical damage from occuring. It should also be in
a well-venitlated area with a room size that corresponds to the room area specified for operation.
Any individual who is involved with working or tapping into a refrigerant circuit should hold a current and valid
certificate from an industry-accredited assessment authority, which authorizes their competence to safely
handle refrigerants in accordance with an industry recognized assessment.
Servicing should only be performed as recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Maintenance and repair
requiring the assistance of other skilled personnel shall be carried out under the presence and supervision of
the person qualified in the use of flammable refrigerants.
DO NOT modify the length of the power cord or use an extension cord to power the unit.
DO NOT share a single outlet with other electrical appliances, as improper power supply could cause
electric shock and/or fire.
R32 Refrigerant is used within this air conditioner, which is classified as being flammable. Please follow the
instructions carefully when handling, installing, clearing, or servicing the air conditioner in order to avoid any
damage or potential hazards. When maintaining or disposing of the unit, the refrigerant (R32 or R290) will need
to be recovered properly and not directly discharged into the air.
DO NOT have any open flames or any type of switch, which is capable of generating a spark or arching, near the
air conditioner which could ignite the flammable refrigerant within the unit.

sure to save this manual for future reference. For units that use R32/R29 refrigerant,
please be aware of the symbols below that will displayed on the unit are to inform and
alert you of potential hazards. Please read the descriptions below for further detail.
