Brewing Coffee 5) Cleaning the Coffeemaker Before First Use Follow the steps under “Adding Water and Ground Coffee” and “Brewing Coffee Now,” (Pages 8-9) but do not add ground coffee. For Models UNT83, URT84, URT85, URT84, URT85, URTX83, URTX84 and URTX85 only: Remove the water reservoir by grasping the hand holds in the back of the reservoir, and pulling up. Fill it with the desired amount of cold water.
Once pouring is complete, be sure the Brew-Thru lid is closed to seal in heat and flavor. While the coffee is brewing, the Pause ‘n Serve feature allows you to sneak a cup of coffee from the thermal carafe. Replace the thermal carafe on the base within 30 seconds to prevent overflow and possible injury. ➚ To pour coffee, make sure the POUR arrow of the Brew-Thru lid is aligned with the spout. Do not turn the arrow on the lid beyond the spout when pouring to prevent the lid from falling off.
Maintaining Your Coffeemaker Maintaining your Coffeemaker and its parts will help extend the life of the appliance. Cleaning the Coffeemaker Your Coffeemaker must be cleaned when you notice any of the follow conditions: • cleaning cycle indicator light is blinking during normal brew mode (Models URTX83, URTX84 and URTX85 only) c. After 30 minutes, place the empty carafe back on the base. Turn the Coffeemaker back on to let all of the dissolved MR. COFFEE® Cleaner or vinegar flow through. d.
5) Remove and discard the filter used during the clean cycle and replace it with a fresh MR. COFFEE® paper filter. If a MR. COFFEE® permanent filter was used during cleaning, remove and rinse it thoroughly before replacing it in the filter basket. These filters are available at most grocery stores. • Thermal Carafe You can usually purchase a replacement thermal carafe from the store where you purchased your Coffeemaker. Preparación de Café Limpieza de la Cafetera Antes de Usarla por Primera Vez Siga los pasos de abajo “Agregando Agua y Café Molido” y “Preparación Inmediata de Café” (las Páginas 24 – 25), pero no le agregue el café molido. Seleccionando y Midiendo el Café Molido Para mejores resultados, use granos de café para cafeteras de goteo automático. Las cantidades que se muestran a continuación son cantidades sugeridas.
Una vez que haya servido, asegúrese de que la tapa Brew–Thru (con agujero de paso) esté cerrada para conservar el calor y el sabor. Mientras que el café se está preparando, la característica de Pause ’n Serve (Pausa y Sirva) permite que usted se sirva una taza de café de la jarra térmica. Coloque la jarra térmica en la base dentro de los 30 segundos para evitar el desbordamiento y posibles heridas. La jarra térmica fue diseñada para mantener el café caliente y fresco hasta 4 horas.

5) Remueva y deshágase del filtro usado durante el ciclo de limpieza y reemplácelo por un filtro de papel nuevo MR. COFFEE®. Si un filtro permanente MR. COFFEE® fue usado durante la limpieza, remuévalo y enjuáguelo completamente antes de colocarlo de nuevo en la canasta del filtro.
