Adjusting the power cord length You can customize the length of the power cord up to 2 1/2 feet so that it is the exact length you desire. To increase the length of the power cord: Grasp the power cord (not the power plug) and gently pull it away from the coffeemaker. To decrease the length of the power cord: Grasp the power cord a few inches away from where it attaches to the coffeemaker. Slowly feed it into the coffeemaker.
Brewing coffee Cleaning the coffeemaker before first use Follow the steps under “Adding water and ground coffee” and “Brewing coffee now,” (pages 4-5) but do not add coffee grounds. 5.) For model UNT83: Open the resetvoir lid and fill the resetvoir with cold water for the desired cup level on the water window (up to 8 cups). For models URT83, URTX83 and URTX87D: Remove the water reservoir by grasping the hand hokk in ti back of the reservoir, and pulling up. All it with the desired amount of cold water. Replace the reservoir on the coffeemaker, making sure that it is firmly attached to the coffeemaker body.

Service and maintenance Replacement parts . FilterS For better tasting coffee, we recommend that you use a MR. COFFEE@ 8-12 cup paper filter, or a Mr. Coffee” permanent gold-tone fllter. These filters are available at most grocery stores. . Thermal carafe You can usually purchase a replacement thermal carafe from the store where you purchased your coffeemaker. If you are unable to find a replacement, please call l-800 MR COFFEE (I-800-672-6333) in the U.S.
