Appendix 2 DMR 8, 16 RT Pin Confi guration
PIN DESCRIPTION
PIN NUMBERS:
1 GND Earth GND
2 ~ 9 ALARM INPUT
Use ALARM INPUT ( PINS 2 -- 9 ) and GND ( PIN 1 ) to activate the DVR to start recording and trigger internal
buzzer sound.
When closing connection ALARM INPUT (PIN 2 -- 9) to GND (PIN 1), DVR will start recording and the buzzer will turn on.
When “MENU -> CAMERA -> ALARM” is set to “Low” : When the alarm input signal is “ Low ”, the DVR will start to
record and buzzer will turn on.
When “MENU -> CAMERA -> ALARM” is set to “High” : When the alarm input signal is “ High ”, the DVR will start to
record and buzzer will turn on.
10 Pin is OFF
11 RS232-TX DVR pin is used to serially communicate with remote PC using the RS-232 PROTOCOL. Use SERIAL
PROTOCOL table for command set.
12 RS485-A DVR pin is used to serially communicate with remote PC using the RS-485 PROTOCOL.
13 EXTERNAL ALARM NO. Under the normal operation, COM disconnects with NO. But when any alarm is triggered,
COM connects with NO.
14 Pin is OFF
15 ~ 22 ALARM INPUT: Use ALARM INPUT ( PINS 15 -- 22 ) and GND ( PIN 1 ) to activate the DVR to start recording
and trigger internal buzzer sound.
When closing connection ALARM INPUT (PIN 15 -- 22) to GND (PIN 1), DVR will start recording and the buzzer will turn
on.
When “MENU -> CAMERA -> ALARM” is set to “Low” : When the alarm input signal is “ Low ”, the DVR will start to
record and buzzer will turn on.
When “MENU -> CAMERA -> ALARM” is set to “High” : When the alarm input signal is “ High ”, the DVR will start to
record and buzzer will turn on.
23 RS232-RX DVR pin is used to serially communicate with remote PC
using the RS-232 PROTOCOL. Use SERIAL PROTOCOL table for
command set.
24 RS485-B DVR pin is used to serially communicate with remote PC
using the RS-485 PROTOCOL.
25 EXTERNAL ALARM COM Under normal operation, COM disconnects
with NO (Normally Open). Triggering External Alarm input COM
connects with NO.
