We tested it to 11 amps but recommend limiting the current in a series
connection to 20% less or 8 amps for a large margin of safety. 3 times the
amount of the battery which is approx 3-4 AMP per.
Use batteries with built in PCM module like TrustFire or Tennergy offer.

Batteries should not be set in parallel circuit only in series. Why ? Every battery
that is manufactured has slightly different characteristics. In simpler terms, the
voltage out of every battery is slightly different. When two of these lithium
batteries are in parallel, the battery with the higher voltage provides current to
the battery with the lesser voltage. Since there is a current draw between the
batteries, the shelf life of the unit they are in is significantly shortened.
