m p ta b l e s by a m i r pa k n ya Taking a cue from his father, whose initials “mp” provide the table’s name, Amir Paknya developed an affinity for calligraphy at an early age. “I’ve always loved the feel of ink gliding over the tooth of a high-quality paper,” he says. “I see beauty in simple curves and different line weights.” Paknya earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute.
