Step 4:
After the connection has been established, the VPort 36
-1MP’s video will appear in the VLC
Player
display window.
NOTE
The video performance of the VPort
36-
1MP may vary when using other media players. For example, you will
notice a greater delay when viewing the VPort 36
-1MP’s video from the VLC player compared to viewing it
directly from the VPort 36
-1MP’s built-in web server. In addition, viewing the VPort 36-
1MP’s video from the
VLC player through a router or Internet gateway could result in a broken connection.
NOTE
For the time being, the VPort 36
-1MP’s RTSP video/audio stream can be identified and viewed by Apple
QuickTime Ver. 6.5 and above,
and the VLC media player. System integrators can use these 2 media players
to view the VPort 36
-1MP’s video directly, without needing to use the VPort’s SDK to create customized
software.
NOTE
When using RTSP
, the video stream format should be H.264 or MPEG4. MJPEG does not support RTSP.
