SNMP Read/Write Settings
SNMP Versions
Setting Description Factory Default
V1, V2c, V3, or V1, V2c,
or V3 only
This specifies the SNMP protocol version used to manage the
switch.
V1, V2c
V1, V2c Read Community
Setting Description Factory Default
Max. 30 characters This specifies the community string to authenticate the SNMP
agent for read-only access. The SNMP agent will access all
objects with read-only permissions using this community
string.
Public
V1, V2c Write/Read Community
Setting Description Factory Default
Max. 30 characters This specifies the community string to authenticate the SNMP
agent for read/write access. The SNMP server will access all
objects with read/write permissions using this community
string.
Private
For SNMP V3, there are two levels of privilege for different accounts to access the TN-5500. Admin privilege
provides access and authorization to read and write the MIB file. User privilege allows reading of the MIB file
only.
Admin Auth. Type (for SNMP V1, V2c, V3, and V3 only)
