Neighbor Cache
An IPv6 node uses a Neighbor Cache table to keep track of active and reachable neighbors. The table contains
entries about individual neighbors to which traffic has been sent recently.
Setting Description
IPv6 Address The neighbor’s on-link unicast IP address.
Link Layer (MAC) Address The neighbor’s link layer (MAC) address.
State The neighbor’s reachability state defined in RFC2461. There are five possible
values: Incomplete, Reachable, Stale, Delay, Probe.
System Time Settings
The TN-5500 has a time calibration function based on information from an NTP server or user specified time
and date. Functions such as automatic warning emails can therefore include time and date stamp.
NOTE The TN-5500 does not have a real time clock. The user must update the Current Time and Current Date to set
the initial time for TN-5500 after each reboot, especially when there is no NTP server on the LAN or Internet
connection.
