NOTE For EDS-600 Series switches, there are certain restrictions on which ports can be used as ring ports.
• You may use any two of the non-
Gigabit ports as the ring ports; however, the two ring ports for a particular
switch must be on the same module.
• If you need to use Gigabit ports as ring ports, you must use the seco
nd and third Gigabit ports (G2 and G3)
as the ring ports (but do NOT use G1).
