NOTE For EDS-600 Series switches, there are certain restrictions on which ports can be used as ring ports.
• You may use any two of the non-
Gigabit ports as the ring ports; however, the two ring ports for a particular
switch must be on the same module.
• If you need to use Gigabit ports as ring ports, you must use the second and third Gigabit port
s (G2 and G3)
as the ring ports (but do NOT use G1).
