Configuring Basic Settings
The Basic Settings group includes the most commonly used settings required by administrators to maintain and
control the EtherDevice Router.
System Identification
The system identification section gives you an easy way to identify the different switches connected to your
network.
Router name
Setting Description Factory Default
Max. 30 Characters This option is useful for specifying the role or application of
different EtherDevice Router units.
E.g., Factory Router 1.
Firewall/VPN router

Router Location
Setting Description Factory Default
Max. 80 Characters To specify the location of different EtherDevice Router units.
E.g., production line 1.
Device Location
