Step 2:
Once VPort 36-1MP completes the IP settings, it will acquire the configuration file from the TFTP server, and
check if this configuration file is right or not.

For the auto
-configuration function to work, the system should

Have a DHCP Server that supports DHCP Opt 66/67 in the network switches and routers.
2.
Have a TFTP server that supports the TFTP protocol

IP address Variable IP assigned automatically by the DHCP server, or fixed
IP assigned by the Administrator.

Subnet mask Variable subnet mask assigned automatically by the DHCP
server, or a fixed subnet mask assigned by the Administrator.

Assigned automatically by the DHCP server, or assigned by the
Administrator.

Primary DNS
Enter the IP address of the DNS Server used by your network.
After entering the DNS Server’s IP address, you can input the
VPort’s url (e.g., www.VPort.company.com
) in your browser’s
address field, instead of entering the IP address.

non-DHCP

Secondary DNS Enter the IP address of the DNS Serve
r used by your network.
The VPort will try to locate the secondary DNS Server if the
primary DNS Server fails to connect.
