Grounding the Moxa VPort D351
Grounding and wire routing help limit the effects of noise due to electromagnetic interference
(EMI). Run the ground connection from the ground screw to the grounding surface prior to
connecting devices.
ATTENTION
This product is intended to be mounted to a well-grounded mounting surface such as a metal
panel.
Wiring the Relay Output
The VPort D351 has two sets of relay output—relay 1 and relay 2—located on the 8-pin terminal
block connector. Each relay output consists of the 3 contacts of the terminal block on the VPort
D351’s top panel.

The Relay Output can be set up for:
1. System alarm: In this case, power failure
and network disconnected.
2. Event alarm: Digital inputs.

ATTENTION
The current and power capacity of the relay output is a maximum of 24 VDC @ 1A. You should
be careful not to exceed this power specification.
ATTENTION
Before connecting the VPort to the DC/AC power inputs, make sure the voltage from the DC
power source is stable.
